Regarding Flute Notes...!

Hi All,
I am Anand... Could anyone please tell me way and the pre-cautions to create flute notes from a song..!

1. load your song in audacity
2. identify which flute to use along with that song - c, c#, D D# etc
3. play along and enjoy

Is this applicable to other instruments also e.g keyboard etc
