It's really a thumping moment for Indian music! Oscar-winner A R Rahman victorious run at awards ceremonies continues with the music maestro now fetching two nominations at the 2010 Grammy Awards for his soundtracks from Slumdog Millionaire.

Rahman got two Academy awards and a Golden Globe for the track Jai Ho has been nominated in the category of Best Song written for Motion Picture, Television or Other visual media.

he also got nomination for the category of Best Compilation Soundtrack Album for Motion Picture, Television or Other visual Media for Slumdog Millionaire.

Moreover, this is the first time that the 44-year-old Indian musician has been nominated for the Grammy, popularly known as the Oscars of the music industry.

The song Jai Ho written by Gulzar for the 2008 film will face-off with Bruce Springsteens title track for The Wrestler, Once in a Lifetime from film Cadillac Records Decode from Twilight andThe Client from Hannah Montana: The Movie

The album, which had earlier knocked off Lady GaGa˜The Fame on Billboards chart will now compete with the soundtracks of Quentin TarantinoInglourious BasterdsBeyonce starreradillac Records, HBOâ vampire seriesTrue Bloodand Robert Pattinson starrer vampire-romance Twilight

As usual , the Grammy awards will be presented on January 31st at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles.
